LA MESÍAS

In La Mesías, a series created by Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi, choreography takes on a fundamental narrative, symbolic, and emotional role. As choreographer, Belén Martí crafted a physical language where the body becomes emblematic — a sign, a voice, a vessel. Her work runs through the series in moments of profound symbolic weight, such as the creation of the "symbolic hand," the rotating-room dance, and the performative and scenic development of the fictional pop group Stella Maris, whose choreographic identity she helped shape from the ground up. In her vision, the body doesn’t just move — it channels trauma, desire, faith, and repression. Her contribution transforms movement into an iconic presence that expands the aesthetic and emotional universe of the series.
