2024

A tribute to the 200 women who 150 years ago excavated the Dique de la Campana de Ferrol, the most important hydraulic engineering work in Spain in the 19th century. The historical fact and the invisible work of these women is paid tribute to under the direction of Marta Pazos, through a dialogue between contemporary dance and traditional Galician dance, a conversation that connects past and present.

Dique creates a dialogue between contemporary dance and traditional Galician dance from Belén Martí's choreography proposal, weaving a conversation that reflects the connection between past and present. A play of colors, textures, and contrasts unfolds on stage, offering a unique visual challenge.

The piece explores the limits of strength, as the earthy and ancestral take hold of the scene. In Dique, there is resistance and effort, but also moments where delicacy and lightness emerge.
